An institution on Hermannsweg and extremely friendly towards hiking groups. You just have to stop here for a moment.

A rustic restaurant with charm. I found it very cozy and I was also a little fascinated. Due to Corona there is a smaller menu, but I didn't find that bad. There is still plenty to choose from and I think there is something for everyone. My husband had a schnitzel that was so big that it would have been enough for two. I had the homemade aspic with fried potatoes. I can recommend 😀. The staff is easy going and very nice. Our dog was also welcome 👍. If you want to stop there, I recommend that you reserve a table. I was there when it rained and still it was full. I was glad I made a reservation. Easily go online. There are hiking trails from there. Unfortunately, I can't describe any of them because I got off to a completely wrong start and I no longer knew exactly where I was (then I returned the same route) 🤔😂😒. Does it better than me 😁. French fries weren't through with 6 people and weren't even seasoned. Cake wasn't fresh. Better not to use the toilet. The girls in the service were very nice.

All pretty rustic; but good service, good food - unfortunately a bit too cool in the dining room (below).

I've been there 3-4 times and satisfied every time. The staff could be a bit more affordable, but the food was always convincing. The rustic decor is great and we'd love to come back!

Very nice contact point for extensive hikes. Food is great. The price ok.

We went there to eat schnitzel during our hike over the Hermansweg. The schnitzels are homemade and the fried potatoes were great too. We drank Gatzweiler Alt on tap with it. It was quite empty and all distance and hygiene rules were observed.

After a nice hike through the wonderful nature, we stopped by Bienenschmidt. There are also some hiking trails from there. We sat comfortably in the beer garden and enjoyed a really delicious meal. The atmosphere is very nice and quaint. The staff was very nice and attentive.

This gastronomy is really highly recommended in matters such as coffee, cake and of course the very friendly staff.

Somewhat loveless service, fried potatoes tasted warmed up, schnitzel a bit tough. But can also be just a one-off experience as I've heard a lot of good things from locals. Location is great, and would try again if I'm in the area.

Didn't work at all and unfortunately you can't recommend it except for the location. Wanted to eat and drink something there on the wedding day. At first we were simply ignored on the terrace, the conditions just ran 1 m past us. And later at the table we sat for 45 minutes without the waitress even contacting us. We then left without filling out the form with contact details, which we didn't have either. During that time tables were cleared and others got their umpteenth drink. You haven't heard anything about wiping in the table in the current time.

Super riding area. Parking, horse tying, delicious food and drink. Perfect !

Somehow getting old. Nothing changed for years. Staff is friendly and tried hard, but somehow you don't want to stay here for a long time. A short break from hiking okay. Not more.

Just the thing after a long hike. Condition is friendly, the beer nice and cold and the food delicious. Despite the fact that the inn was well attended, the waiting times are sovereign and you don't have to wait long for your order.

Nice, in the middle of nowhere

Cozy and hospitable atmosphere in the nostalgic, rustic half-timbered inn. Hearty Westphalian and modern dishes are served here. A good selection of beers and drinks rounds it off.
